Focus. is a small to-do app. This page explains, in plain language, what it stores, where that data lives, which outside services are involved, and how to delete your data.
What the app stores
For each task:
- its title and description;
- the project name you give it, if any;
- which list it is in (Focus, Saved for later or Completed) and its order in that list;
- the date it entered your focus list, used to move unfinished focus tasks back to your saved list on a new day.
The app also keeps a few settings on your device only: dark mode, auto-fill mode and a daily count of completed focus tasks (used for the encouragement messages).
Where your tasks are stored
- Signed out: tasks are stored only on this device, in your browser’s local storage. They are not sent to any server.
- Signed in with Google: tasks are stored in a database hosted by Supabase (PostgreSQL) so they can sync between your devices. Database access rules only let the signed-in account read or change its own tasks. A copy is also kept in local storage on each device you use, so the app works offline.
While you are signed in, Supabase Realtime sends private change notifications to your account's connected devices so they can fetch updated tasks automatically. These notifications contain no task titles or descriptions. The live connection closes when you sign out.
Google sign-in
Signing in is optional. When you sign in, Google shares your account’s email address and basic profile information (such as your name and profile picture) with the app to identify your account. Your email address is shown in Settings. The app never sees your Google password.
Analytics
The app uses Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics: pages viewed, device and browser information, and approximate location. Google signals and ad personalisation are turned off. Google Analytics uses cookies to tell visits apart. Your tasks, email address and account are never sent to Google Analytics.
Other services
- Fonts: the Inter font is served by Google Fonts, so your browser requests it from Google’s servers.
- Hosting: the site is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps standard request logs (such as IP address, browser and the page requested) to deliver and protect the site.
- Code libraries: when sign-in or sync is needed, the app loads the Supabase library from the jsDelivr CDN and Google’s sign-in library from Google.
Deleting your data
- Delete tasks one at a time, or remove all completed tasks with “Clear History” in Settings. When you are signed in, these deletions sync to the database.
- Signing out removes your account’s cached copy of your tasks from the device.
- Tasks created while signed out are removed when you clear this site’s data in your browser.
- To delete your account and all of its synced data, contact the developer via realnipuna.com/website.
What the app does not do
Your data is not sold, and the app shows no ads.
